Sandy completed his undergraduate medical degrees in Melbourne and went on to specialist training in intensive care medicine, with interests in trauma care, aeromedical retrieval medicine, hyperbaric medicine, and extra-corporeal life support.
He moved to Hobart and completed specialist training in anaesthesia, with clinical interests in neuro-anaesthesia, anaesthesia for major surgery, and perioperative medicine.
Sandy’s other professional interests include resuscitation skills training and simulation-based education.
