Katrina obtained her medical degree from Sydney University, and completed her anaesthetics training in Hobart and the United Kingdom. Katrina has specialist skills in ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia, obtaining several publications in this field. Katrina has presented her research at National and International scientific conferences, and is also an editor for the World Federation Society of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA).
Katrina is currently the Clinical lead in Anaesthesia for orthopaedic and ophthalmic surgery at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Clinical areas of special interest include anaesthesia for orthopaedic surgery, abdominal surgery and ophthalmic surgery as well as endoscopy procedures.
Katrina enjoys outdoor fun with her family including kayaking, skiing, cycling, and bushwalking.
